Updates for the Week of 11/9/25
 
No changes to the practice schedule for this week, but the following are things to note:
  • Tuesday, 11/11:
    • Even though this is the Veterans Day holiday, we will have regular practice for all groups.
    • There is a UF men's basketball game at the O'Connell Center, so parking will be challenging - please plan extra time to get to the pool.
  • Monday and Thursday this week we have UF women's basketball at the O'Connell Center, and there is a UF volleyball match on Wednesday, so again parking may be tighter than usual with the small lot to the west of the building gated off.
 
Upcoming Meets
Class 3A and 4A time trials (Nov. 16, Ocala)
Senior 1-3 swimmers will compete in the time trial meet in Ocala on Sunday, 11/16. You’ll be auto-signed up for this by Coach John so watch the GroupMe chats for more details and please make sure you are there this Sunday to swim.
 
Rosen Almost Turkey Meet (Nov. 21-23, Orlando)
Entries will be submitted today to the host team, and information will be sent to participating swimmers during the week of November 17.
 
Holiday Classic (Dec. 5-7, Ocala)
Signup is open for swimmers and volunteers via the GSC website. This is GSC's main hosted meet of the year so we want maximum participation from swimmers and team families to help us offer a great event for participating teams!
 
High School State Series
Congratulations to those of you who raced in the Class 1A and 2A high school state championship meets this past week! We have Class 3A and 4A competing this upcoming weekend in their champs meets, including the following Gator swimmers who qualified in individual events:
